In LISTE 2019, A Thousand Plateaus Art Space is pleased to present the solo project “The stranger… and while I blossomed all alone, the world slumbered” by Chengdu based emerging artist Xiaoyi Chen (b.1992). The exhibited photographs of glacier boulders were taken during her residency in Switzerland in 2018, and all taken at the edge of light: close to the lamps of the city, shaded by the forest. Xiaoyi intends to create a sensitive, human meditation on the ebb-and-flow of nature and her personal response through her work.
