This series tries to find new possibilities to continue and expand the series, “Constructs.” For the time being, I understand this attempt as targeting the works’ skin, namely the surface fabric. The “Construct” series deals with the volumic constitution in space, which formally supports the work’s expressive power while setting the painterly space on canvas. The second stage of the series, “Skin,” focuses on the surface network of textures as part of the work’s system. Meanwhile, “Skin” serves to respond to and complement the outward formation of “Construct.” No longer bearing any visual narrative, this new series does not enrich the expressive possibility of the “image.” Rather, I’m forced to establish a grander system and network. The value of a work no longer derives from the dimension of narrative, but stems from the functionality of its systemic structure, not unlike a chunk. From the bones to the skin, or from the skeletal to the demartological, I seek meticulous expressions from the sum of the overall system.

这个系列试图从系列《筑体》之上，寻找新的可以向外扩张的可能性。这种可能性我暂时理解成作品⽹络⾥的肌⾁或者⽪肤。筑体系列是在空间之上的骨骼构建，承担的是作品⼒量的表现⽀撑，和单独对布⾯绘画空间的基本建构。⽽第⼆个阶段的系列则是构建系统⽹络中的肌⾁或⽪肤。同时，这也是回应了筑体系列中作品向外构建的表达。这个系列同样不再承担某种视觉上的叙事，“形象“”的出现没有带来更多表达的可能性。这就迫使我转向构建⼀个⼤的系统和⽹络。⼀件作品的价值不再从叙事的维度出发，⽽是构建系统的功能性出发，他是⼀个组块。从“骨骼”到“⽪肤”。我将从系统的总体中寻求精准的表达。
