People’s Park is no longer a “park.” Everything in it has been demolished and rebuilt, and this unending process of renovation will continue into the future. Cane chairs, tea cups, landscaped stones, grey bricks... These artifacts have overcome time and persevered in the face of constant development and destruction. Today, the ‘park’ of years past has been compressed by time into these pale remnants of what was. As one era turns to another, how long will it be before these too are gone?
